Kieran O’Keeffe is the Secretary General of EUROMAT. EUROMAT is the European Gaming and Amusement Federation which represents the coin-operated low-stakes gaming and entertainment sector. EUROMAT has 16 association members from 11 countries as well as four corporate members – JVH Gaming & Entertainment (NL), Merkur Gaming (DE), Lowen Entertainment (DE) and Faro Games (IT). Kieran is also the Deputy Managing Partner of Interel European Affairs, a public affairs consultancy where he manages a portfolio of clients in the leisure, FMCG and technology sectors.
Prior to joining Interel, Kieran was head of European affairs for the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), and opened the association’s first Brussels office in 2008. In this role, he also served as media spokesman for the organization, representing the BCC on television and on radio.
Kieran began his career as a researcher for a U.K. member of Parliament and government minister.
Kieran has a master’s degree in politics from the University of London (Goldsmiths College) and he completed his undergraduate degree in history at the University of Leeds.
