Significant start of the new decade for EEGS
The Eleventh edition of Eastern European Gaming Summit (EEGS) marked a significant start of the new decade for the leading gaming conference in the region, was held on 20th and 21st November 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
EEGS 2018 brought together more than 40 distinguished speakers and over 200 profesionalists, who are representatives of the world’s biggest gaming manufacturers, operators and consulting companies.
The first day was focused on the important regulatory updates from the European jurisdictions: Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, Switzerland & Malta.
Technology developments, gaming business innovation, digital marketing, future opportunities and other essential themes were among the considered topics.
The risks and solutions, provided by the Blockchain technology and Millenial market were another highlights from Day 1 of the conference.
When it comes to eSports, there are a lot of promises of an extremely lucrative market with high potential. But what exactly is in it for brands considering to move into the sector and what opportunities and challenges are betting operators facing at the moment? The answer of this question gave Jessica Maier, German Attorney, MELCHERS LAW, Nicholas Aquilina, Attorney Brandl & Talos Attorneys at Law and Mario Ovcharov, CEO, UltraPlay. They were unanimous: “Esports is the fastest-growing industry that is engaging millennials like never before”.
On the second day among the key topics was “Are regulators micro-managing gambling operators out of the market?”, presented by David Clifton, Director, Clifton Davies Consultancy Limited. Alex Haberl, Regulatory Development Manager (GLI Europe) gave an elaborate speech about the European Markets Development.
With the outstanding contribution of the EEGS Advisory board the conference delivered a profound look into the depths of the constantly-evolving gaming sphere. With the impressive speaker line-up and top notch savvy attendees the Eastern European Gaming Summit confirmed its place as one of the most significant gaming business conferences in the region.
