Alice Schogger is head of the staff section for gambler protection at the Austrian federal ministry of finance. There, she concepts and coordinates strategies and measures in the overall field of responsible gambling including addiction prevention, consumer protection, youth protection, livelihood security and crime prevention. Alice has 21 years of experience in the field of addiction prevention and legislative processes focussing this aim. Before entering the ministry of finance in 2014, she worked at the ministry of health (2001-2013), where her work was mainly focussed on tobacco control issues. She is a studied lawyer (University of Vienna). Regularly she presents at national as well as international conferences and universities and has organised several Austrian expert symposia. She is author of numerous professional articles in her field of work. Alice also was member of the former expert group on online gambling at the European Commission.
