Hristian Daskalov

Dr. Hristian Daskalov serves as the Chairman of the cybersecurity-focused European Digital Innovation Hub “Trakia” (Cyber4AllSTAR), which is uniting the Bulgarian Cybersecurity Association, the Institute for Information and Communication Technologies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and the Union for Private Economic Enterprise, among other partners. EDIH Trakia is part of the EDIH Network under the Digital Europe Program of the European Commission, partner of ECSO and the Women4Cyber Foundation.

Dr. Daskalov has previously served as an Executive Director of the National Student House under the Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Bulgaria (2018-2023). Author of 3 books on educational technology, policies and projects, he has led the ‘Open Source University’ EdTech initiative, i.e. one of the first ‘Blockchain for Education’ social entrepreneurial spin-off ventures worldwide.

An award-winning open-source project management doctoral researcher at the Technical University of Sofia (2015- 2021) with research specializations at UCL’s Institute of Education, Riga’s and Brno’s universities of technology, he holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in the fields of Economics, Public Governance and EU Project Management.
