BEGE and EEGS 2020 Postponed to 2021 Due To COVID-19 Pandemic

Originally scheduled for November 17-19 in Sofia, the annual trade show and conference has been postponed to 2021.

After careful consideration and due to growing concerns over the COVID-19 global crisis and the need for social distancing, the organizers of two of the biggest gaming events Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo and Eastern European Gaming Summit, along with key industry partners, have made the decision to postpone BEGE and EEGS, originally scheduled for November 17-19, in Sofia, Bulgaria.

“The health and welfare of all our participants, as well as local, national and international communities at large, are our highest priority. For the past several months, we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation with partners and city and state officials. It is now clear that postponement is the correct decision”, Milena Tsankarska, Project Manager of Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo explained. “The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the global economy with unprecedented force. Gaming-entertainment business and even we as an event organizer have been powerfully affected by the COVID-19 crisis. In this period of ever-increasing uncertainty working together has never been more important” Dannie Nikolova, Conference Manager at Eastern European Gaming Summit added.

BEGE and EEGS organizers are currently working behind the scenes to reschedule the event to a new date that will be announced later on this year. The upcoming editions of both events will once again bridge the gap between creativity, business, tech and innovation, turning the pandemic crisis into an opportunity to rethink their concept and work together for renewing the idea, design & styling of both events.
